SMI Adviser® – A Clinical Support System for Serious Mental Illness (CSS-SMI)

This initiative provides mental health clinicians with education, resources, and clinician-to-clinician consultations around serious mental illness (SMI).

The mission of SMI Adviser is to advance the use of a person-centered approach to care that ensures people who have SMI find the treatment and support they need. SMI Adviser supports the use and implementation of evidence-based treatments for SMI and offers content and guidance for all members of the interprofessional mental health care team. The American Psychiatric Association leads the initiative and partners in various ways with clinical experts and leadership from more than 30+ national mental health organizations.
